A University of Arizona-led report published in the journal Science,  warns that the earth could warm as much as it did in the thousands of years since the last ice age if greenhouse gas emissions are not substantially reduced. Arizona’s forests could retreat with rising temperatures and its deserts could turn hotter and more volatile in the coming century.
