WHY IS RTS IMPORTANT?

Republicans at the Capitol still enjoy complete one-party rule — and nearly all the moderate Republicans are gone, leaving us with the most extreme legislature we’ve had in quite a while. Though any partisan legislation could fail by a single vote, no lawmaker wants to be the one responsible for that failure, so many bad bills may pass thanks to simple tribalism. But the shift is coming: Republicans are feuding in plain sight, and some fear their party is being driven into the ground. Any success we find this session will likely be found in exploiting those divisions. (AZ Legislative Weekly)

WHAT IS RTS?  Weigh in on bills from the comfort of your couch! Arizona’s Request to Speak (RTS) is an online tool that lets everyday citizens give Arizona state lawmakers our feedback on bills. It’s an easy way to get involved in state politics, stay informed on the bills that directly affect us, and make sure our elected officials honor the wishes of us, their constituents.
