There is still time to protect and preserve the crown jewel of Prescott’s outdoor treasures, the Granite Dells. Currently, Save the Dells activists are asking area residents to let the Prescott Planning and Zoning Commission know how imperative it is that they serve the public interest by negotiating for a publicly accessible Granite Dells Regional Park with a private developer. To get involved and have your say, start by visiting SavetheDells.org where you can review the proposal, sign up for the newsletter, and find out how you can make your voice heard by City officials. The official public comment period on the developer’s proposal is not yet open. However, through letters to the editor of the Daily Courier and comments addressed to the P&Z Commissioners, we can build the wave of public support needed to Save the Dells by educating our friends and neighbors on this critical local issue. Think of our strategy on “No on Prop 305” .
