The Neighborhood Summit for Equity intends to catalyze change by increasing awareness of racial and cultural inequities. Our mission is to provide engagement opportunities where we can bring out the best in one another as neighbors caring for each other.
We are at our best when we are curious and respectful about our differences.

Friday Sept. 20th – Conversations around Cultural Equity

Doors Open at 5:30 pm
6:00 pm – Wisdom Invocations from local Religious leaders
6:30 pm – Presentations and Performances (Program TBA)
7:00 pm – Keynote Address with Ezra Levin, Indivisible Project Founder

Sunday September 22nd – Racial Equity Workshops

Racial Equity Workshop with Lexi Coburn
Doors Open 8:30 am
9:00 am – 12 Noon Racial Equity Workshop for Visitors
2:00 pm – 5:00 pm Racial Equity Workshop for Locals
Both workshops are facilitated by Lexi Coburn, Indivisible Senior Training Associate, Southern Organizer, National Indivisible.
Registration is limited to 40 participants. The morning workshop is suggested for out of town visitors so they can return home in the afternoon and the afternoon workshop is suggested for local participants.

Todd Mireles will facilitate an action at Mile High Middle School that proceeds to the Courthouse Square for a demonstration.
Participation in the workshops is not required to participate in the action.

The Neighborhood Summit for Equity is strategically scheduled to bookend the State Meeting of the Democratic Party. Our aim is to increase understanding of cultural and racial equity across the board and that includes the opportunity to participate in the State Meeting of the Democratic Party. We are inviting people from around the state to come to the Neighborhood Summit for Equity. We also want to encourage people to visit the caucus meetings on Saturday morning at Mile High Middle School where our presence can steer and influence the direction of the dialogue. Please consider coming by and participating. You can register onsite Saturday morning.
