The theme this year is Love in Action, reflecting Dr. King’s call for all of us to put words of love and affirmation into action in our lives. 9:30-10am Gather for the march at the Prescott College Welcome Center on the corner of Grove & Western Streets 11 am Attend the celebration program at Prescott United Methodist Church The celebration program includes poetry composed and read by local teens. Members of the Launch Pad Teen Center plan MLK-related activities for younger audience members in a separate room. Launch Pad teens will also provide the audience with a report on their Better Together campaign, which promotes effective discussion to address division in the Prescott area. Attendees can also sign up for community service projects organized by Arizona Serve AmeriCorps. The MLK National Day of Service bridges barriers, creates solutions to problems, strengthens communities, and moves citizens closer to Dr. King’s vision of unity and understanding.
