The League’s latest Voter Education program
Thursday, December 1 from 1:30 to 3:00 PM in the Si Birch Room of the Sedona Public Library.
The program is free and everyone is welcome.
Access to healthcare, availability of services, and continuity of care are hot-button issues being discussed in the Verde Valley.  Additionally, many retirees want to remain in the community but find themselves moving away to find better access to health care.  The League of Women Voters Northern Arizona is pleased to present a panel of Kent Ellsworth and Josh Tinkle, two leaders at the forefront of these issues.  Each will present his perspective on the status of healthcare in the Verde Valley, allowing time for questions and answers from the audience.

Kent Ellsworth is the Executive Director of Verde Valley Caregivers Coalition (VVCC).  Most of VVCC’s assistive services to older adults living independently are provided free of charge by volunteers in the Verde Valley.  Kent has over 30 years of experience in community-based health care, including 15 years as the Director of Elder Care Services at Missoula Aging Services.

Josh Tinkle is Acting President and CEO of Northern Arizona Healthcare.  He has over 16 years of experience leading complex healthcare operations.  Josh was raised in a small town in Iowa and recognized that joining Northern Arizona Healthcare was the perfect opportunity to bring his values and expertise to the community to make a significant impact in health care.
