About No Kings

The No Kings movement is a nationwide, nonpartisan show of resistance against authoritarianism. Events across the country united citizens in affirming that the United States is—and must remain—a democracy governed by the people.

The No Kings peaceful protests were organized by a coalition with more than a hundred members, ACLU, American Federation of Teachers, Common Defense, 50501, Human Rights Campaign, Indivisible, League of Conservation Voters, MoveOn, National Nurses United, Public Citizen, SEIU, among others. All No Kings events adhere to a shared commitment to nonviolent protest and community safety. Organizers are trained in de-escalation and are working closely with local partners to ensure peaceful and powerful actions nationwide.
