Thousands Gather in Prescott Valley, AZ to Declare:
No Kings — Democracy Belongs to the People

No Kings nationwide is the largest protest in U.S. history

Prescott Valley, AZ – Today, thousands of local residents gathered along a stretch of State Route 69 for a peaceful, family-friendly “No Kings” event—one of thousands taking place nationwide to defend democracy and reject authoritarian power. Organized by Prescott Indivisible, along with the Yavapai County Democratic Party, Democratic Women of the Prescott Area, and the MLK Jr. Peace & Justice Committee, the sidewalk resistance event brought together local residents, community leaders, and volunteers calling for fair elections, accountable leadership, and the protection of fundamental rights.

The event featured participants of all ages who carried signs, chanted, and joined together in peaceful solidarity, part of a national movement affirming that no one is above the law.  “As President Trump continues to pretend he’s a dictator, we are standing up again to push back against his cruel, increasingly authoritarian actions,” said Dee Cohen of Prescott Indivisible.

Organizers estimate attendance of 2,500 based on separate counts made by volunteers who walked the full length of the rally multiple times.  Participants hailed from across the Quad Cities area and beyond, including Mayer, Paulden and Cordes Junction.
