In honor of the Campaign Nonviolence Action Days, Prescott Peacebuilders invites you to join us throughout September as we come together to learn, celebrate, and take action for peace—right here in our own community. 

Sunday, September 6 at 10:00 a.m. — Special Peace Service at GPUU
Granite Peak Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 882 Sunset Avenue, Prescott, AZ. Prescott Peacebuilders will lead a special Sunday service highlighting the lives and work of three inspiring peace activists: Peace PilgrimGeorge Lakey, and Rivera Sun. Music will enrich the presentation, and everyone will be invited to join in.

Tuesday, September 8 at 3:00 p.m. — The Reading of the Prescott Peace Day Proclamation at Prescott City Council, 201 N. Montezuma Street, Prescott, AZ. (City Council Chambers are on the 1st floor). You are invited to attend the Prescott City Council meeting, where Councilman Patrick Grady will read the Prescott Peace Day Proclamation. We would love for you to join us IN PERSON as we stand up for nonviolence, inclusion, equity, and community resilience. Your attendance matters!

Monday, September 21 at 6:30 p.m. — United Nations Peace Day Recognition
Yavapai Courthouse Plaza, 120 S. Cortez Street, Prescott, AZ. Join us for the 12th annual Peacebuilders’ United Nations Peace Day Recognition, a simple and meaningful gathering of Prescott residents. Enjoy children’s poetry and music, along with inspiring speakers, as we come together to celebrate and reflect on the possibilities of peace.

Sunday, September 27 at 12:45 p.m. — 4th Annual Peace Concert
Granite Creek Park, 554 6th Street, Prescott. Our talented local musicians for this year’s Peace Concert include Bucket List Band, Womansong, The Gurley Street Trio, MacDougal Street West, and Galactagogue. Bring your chairs or a blanket, a picnic, and a friend—and enjoy a lovely afternoon of music on the lawn beneath the shade of the cottonwood trees.
