Protecting Grand Canyon’s Waters
Thursday, February 23, 2023; 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM via Zoom
Please RSVP for this event

Of all the spectacular landscapes in Arizona, the Grand Canyon is the most astonishing and stupendous – one of the wonders of the world. We are incredibly privileged to live near the Canyon, and that creates a responsibility to protect it. This is a key purpose of the Grand Canyon Chapter of the Sierra Club. The river itself is threatened by decades of drought and climate change. As states quibble over diminishing water resources, it is vital that we ensure the health of the Colorado River and its tributaries in Grand Canyon.
The Canyon needs us to protect it from us.

Please join the Sierra Club to hear Grand Canyon Chapter Program Manager Alicyn Gitlin describe the ongoing work to protect the river, groundwater and springs. Alicyn will give us an update on some of the major threats and what the Grand Canyon Chapter is doing to help protect this important place.
