Camp Verde Library
Needs Support NOW

Wednesday, Aug 23, 5:30 pm

During Pride Month, the Camp Verde Community Library put out a Pride display. In response, some folks have appeared at public meetings demanding that the librarians be fired. They also want some books to be put in a locked room. They have been harassing the librarians and checking out books without returning them so that others do not have access to them.

The community of Camp Verde and these librarians need your help. They need the community to support them. Without support, we could lose so much!

On Wednesday August 23 at 5:30pm at the Camp Verde Unified School District Multi-Use Complex at 280 Camp Lincoln Road Camp Verde, the Town Council is holding a special working session to determine their response to this issue. We must appear, in force, to show that a minority of bigoted community members do not speak for us as a whole.

If you are able to, please come to this meeting. If you are not available, consider writing a letter to the town council or to the newspaper in support of the Camp Verde Community Library.

If you live outside the Verde Valley, consider carpooling, bring a friend, and support local restaurants before or after the meeting.
