Happy Monday! The following are your weekly redistricting updates and action items.

IRC Updates

• The Commission is now in the draft map development phase. During each mapping meeting, they are creating versions of maps as they move toward a final approved draft map
  • The public can view the various draft map versions and the audit logs reflecting the changes made to the districts HERE
  • The remaining draft map development meetings are October 19th-21st. You can view the schedule and the meeting links HERE
•  The Commission received the following presentations:
  • Latino Political Power in AZ 
  • Drawing Districts that Provide Minority Voters an Opportunity to Elect their Candidates of Choice
• The IRC’s mapping software is available to the public
  • You can find training resources HERE
  • Explore all the submitted map plans and other resources through the IRC’s Redistricting Hub
• View the Commission’s most recent Newsletter in English and Spanish

Public Comment Guidance

• The Commission has previously announced that they will be holding a third round of public hearings tentatively from November 2nd through the 28th. We urge the IRC to give advance notice of these public hearings. Dates, times and locations should be provided as early as possible so the public can make arrangements to testify on behalf of their communities. Access to these public hearings is critical
